French physiologist and anatomist, 1771-1802; founder of scientific histology and pathological anatomy.
Bichat canal
The subarachnoid canal, which extends from the third ventricle to the middle of Bichat's fissure and carries the veins of Galen.
Bichat fissure
The horseshoe-shaped fissure separating the cerebrum from the cerebellum.
Bichat ligament
The lower fasciculus of the posterior sacroiliac ligament.
Bichat tunic
