Brushfield spot
(brŭsh′fēld″ )
[Thomas Brushfield, Brit. physician, 1858-1937]
Any of the gray or pale yellow spots sometimes present at the periphery of the iris. They may be an isolated finding but are sometimes found in Down syndrome.
