1. A metal piece attaching two or more units of a removable dental prosthesis.
2. A rigid component of a splint or brace.
3. A section of tissue that connects two similar structures.

C bar

The curved part of a hand splint that maintains the thumb web space.

A bar attached to the wall to assist in basic activities of daily living.

lumbrical bar

A component of a hand splint that rests on the dorsal surface of the proximal phalanges to prevent hyperextension of the metacarpophalangeal joints.

Contracture or constriction of the vesical neck of the bladder caused by benign hypertrophy or fibrosis of the prostate. It may obstruct the flow of urine from the bladder.
