A medicinal plant, known popularly as cat's claw or uña de gato.
Its extracts include alkaloids that are used as an anti-inflammatory for arthritis and also have effects on thinking, concentration, and sedation. It has also been promoted as a treatment for AIDS, without scientific validation.
