An infectious disease characterized by painful oral ulcers and vesicles, papules, or pustules on the hands and feet. It is caused by enteroviruses and typically affects children. The disease usually begins with a fever, followed by the appearance of a distinctive rash, which resolves spontaneously in about a week.
