1. A device for generating electric current by chemical action.
2. A series of tests, procedures, or diagnostic examinations given to or done on a patient.
3. The unlawful touching of another without consent, justification, or excuse.
In legal medicine, battery occurs if a medical or surgical procedure is performed without proper consent.
