A skin or subcutaneous infection marked by the formation of a tumor-like swelling accompanied by sinus tracts or fistulas and granular drainage. It can be caused by infections with bacteria (such as actinomycetes or nocardia species) or fungi. Mycetoma occur commonly in the tropics.
